- Prepare the Sushi Rice:
- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Combine the rice and water in a rice cooker and cook according to the manufacturerโs instructions.
- In a small saucepan, combine the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Let it cool.

- Prepare the Fillings:
- Mix the crab meat with mayonnaise in a bowl.
- Julienne the cucumber and slice the avocado.
- Assemble the Rolls:
- Place a bamboo sushi mat on a flat surface and cover it with plastic wrap.
- Place a sheet of nori, shiny side down, on the mat.
- Wet your hands to prevent sticking and spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving a 1-inch border at the top.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds over the rice (optional).
- Flip the nori over so the rice is facing down.
- Place a line of crab mixture, cucumber, and avocado along the bottom edge of the nori.
- Using the bamboo mat, roll the sushi tightly away from you, pressing gently to shape the roll.
- Cut and Serve:
- Use a sharp knife to cut the roll into 6-8 pieces.
- Serve with soy sauce, pickled ginger, and wasabi.
